Nataliia Rini
Bio
Nataliia Rini born in Lviv, Ukraine, now lives and works from her home studio in Rutherford, NJ.
Her artistic journey began in her teenage years when an after-school program introduced her to the fundamentals of studio art.
After taking a long break from painting, the tragic events in Ukraine in 2022 prompted her to rediscover her creative calling, reconnecting with her homeland through painting and providing a medium for processing her emotions.
Working primarily with acrylics, she finds inspiration in a distinctive interplay of dark and vibrant colors, accented by striking white highlights, evident in the nuanced strokes that define her creations.
Her art goes beyond just visual expression; it’s a profound way for her to explore memories and reflect on current thoughts and feelings. Her goal is to create art that emotionally resonates with people, aiming to evoke feelings based on her personal journey—whether uplifting or thought-provoking.

In my art, I dive into emotions—past, present, and future. My paintings blend dreams with reality, capturing life’s constant changes. I intertwine personal and universal themes, exploring the fluidity of thoughts and the evolving world, moments forming and dissolving.
While I paint, I’m in the midst of processing my own emotions. Each brushstroke is a step toward understanding, questioning the notion that we can control everything in life.

In the studio, I play with chaos and order, utilizing solvents and scraping techniques to shape the canvas. The result is paintings that feel both dynamic and serene.
