Artist Statement
My style has been defined as a bit eclectic and by some “prolific”. My work is heavily influenced by my life, my culture, music and people I have come across, and situations and experiences that have had a profound impact on my life. I enjoy creating colorful, vibrant and happy art which provides my portraits with a voice of their own. I do this to bring light to the social issues affecting our everyday lives, in order to help people see them in a more comprehensive and colorful way. Currently, I am working on a project called “Recognition” in which I am using my art to pay tribute to who I was, who I am or where I see myself in the future.
